Our Body Lotion

Unlike our Body Cream which is triple C thick, our lotion is light and milky… perfect for after a shower or to keep beside the sink to treat your hands after washing dishes. With the consistency of unwhipped cream a little actually goes a long way, it absorbs into skin quickly and easily without leaving behind any greasy residue (you can still hold your coffee mug and open a door after you’ve used it) and it leaves you feeling pleasantly soft and subtly scented all day long. Our unique formula is absolutely perfect for summertime use; no heaviness yet still perfectly hydrating and leaves the skin barrier protected.

Key Ingredients

We’ve all used body lotions before but here is what makes our slightly different…

Allantoin

This acts as a humectant, meaning it draws moisture from the atmosphere (or air around you) and deeper skin layers into the surface to hydrate and plump the skin. It helps maintain skin hydration, softens skin texture by promoting cell turnover and strengthens the skin barrier to lock in all that moisture.

Humectant Properties: It functions like a “mini sponge” pulling water into the skin’s surface to reduce tightness and flakiness. 

Moisture Retention: It forms a protective barrier that locks in moisture and prevents water loss.

Soothes Dry Skin: It acts as an anti-inflammatory and keratolytic angent, removing dead skin cells while calming dry, irritated skin.

Allantoin is suitable for all skin types and is often used in creams to soothe and treat dry, sensitive or compromised skin.

Ceramides

Are essential lipids that make up over 50% of the skin’s composition, acting as the “mortar” between skin cell “bricks” to maintain a healthy barrier. They lock in moisture, prevent dryness and protect against environmental damage effectively reducing irritation, signs of aging and skin sensitivity.

Strengthen the Skin Barrier: Ceramides reinforce the skin’s natural protective barrier shiedling it from external pollutants and bacteria.

Intense Hydration: They help the skin retain moisture by preventing trans-epidermal water loss keeping the skin hydrated, plump and soft.

Anti-Aging Effects: By keeping the skin deeply hydrated and repairing the barrier ceramides help reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and sagging.

Soothe Sensitivity and Dryness: Ceramides are highly effective at calming, protecting and repairing dry, irritated or compromised skin.

Suitable for All Skin Types: Because they are naturally occuring in the skin they are non-comodogenic (won’t clog pores) and safe for all skin type including acne-prone and sensitive skin.

Bakuchiol Oil

Is currently taking the skincare industry by storm, it is quickly becoming regarded as nature’s alternative to Retinol. Bakuchiol pronounced “bah-koo-chee-ol” it is a naturally occuring compound found in both the seeds and leaves of the Psoralea Corylifola (Babchi) plant, a herb that has been used in traditional Indian Ayurvedic and Chinese medicines for centuries. It has since undergone studies alongside Retinol (a synthetic derivative of Vitamin A) where the results found Bakuchiol to be just as effective, but without the harsh side effects that often accompany Retinol such as irritation, sensitivity, peeling and burning. It is also safe for use whilst pregnant and breastfeeding.

This plant-based ingredient is a powerful antioxidant and an absolute powerhouse when it comes to anti-aging. It helps reduce and prevent fine lines and wrinkles, stimulates collagen production, increases skin firmness and elasticity and lessens the appearance of pores, uneven skin tone and hyperpigmentation.

1. Bakuchiol is gentle on skin and therefore considered safe for all skin types to be used twice a day (morning and night).

2. Unlike Retinol it doesn’t cause skin sensitivity in the sun, create irritation or dry out the skin.

3. Bakuchiol works by triggering skin cells to speed up regeneration and cell turnover as well as promote collagen production - a necessity to skin health and a youthful appearance.

4. As a potent antioxidant Bakuchiol works to protect skin cells from free radical damage caused by pollution, UV exposure and other harsh environmental stressors.

5. It penetrates deeply into the skin to reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation, dark spots and uneven skin tone in general as well as refining the skin’s texture.

6. Its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties help to heal, calm and soothe the skin therefore Bakuchiol can also be beneficial when it comes to blemish-prone or sensitive skin.

Cacay Oil

Is a highly potent, Amazonian oil rich in natural retinol (Vitamin A), Vitamin E and Linoleic Acid, offering intense anti-aging, hydration and skin-smoothing benefits. It stimulates collagen production to reduce wrinkles, improves elasticity and brightens skin tone without clogging pores acting as a non-irritating, nutrient-rich moisturiser for all skin types.

Anti-Aging & Collagen Production: Contains three times for retinol (Vitamin A) than rosehip oil and helps to increase skin firmness, reduce fine lines and speed up cell turnover.

Intense Hydration & Elasticity: High levels of Vitamin F (Linoleic Acid) provide deep, long-lasting moisture improving skin texture and elasticity.

Reduces Acne & Scarring: Cacay helps balance, nourish and soothe skin aiding in the reduction of acne, acne scarring and pigmentation.

Gentle Anti-Inflammatory: It helps soothe irritated skin and is effective for conditions like eczema and dermatitis.

Lightweight & Non-Comodogenic: It is readily absorbed into skin without leaving a greasy residue.

Natural Antioxidant Protection: Rich in Vitamin E, it protects the skin against free radical damage and environmental stressors.

Prickly Pear Seed Oil

Is a highly nourishing, non-comodogenic oil rich in linoleic acid, vitamin E and antioxidants. It deeply hydrates, restores skin elasticity and reduces fine lines, making it an excellent anti-aging, firming agent for all skin types, particularly mature or dry skin.

Intense Hydration: Contains high levels of linoleic acid (roughly 60%), which strengthens the skin barrier and helps skin retain moisture without leaving a greasy residue.

Anti-Aging and Firming: Packed with antioxidants and vitamin E, it stimulates collagen production and fights free-radicals reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

Brightens Complexion: Rich in vitamin K, it helps diminish dark spots, under eye circles and hyperpigmentation.

Soothes & Calms: Its anti-inflammatory properties help reduce redness and calm skin, making it ideal for sensitive skin.

Prevents Breakouts: Being non-comodogenic it won’t clog pores while its high linoleic acid content regulates sebum benefiting oily or acne prone skin.

Kakadu Plum Extract

Is a potent, natural skincare ingredient known as the world’s richest source of vitamin C (up to 50 times more than oranges), which brightens skin, boosts collagen production and reduces fine lines. Its high antioxidant content combats free radicals to prevent premature aging, while it’s anti-inflammatory properties treat acne and soothe irritated skin.
