My Story

It all began 28 years ago… I’d just finished High School and was trying to decide between a career as a lawyer or as a doctor. Both career choices I thought would allow me to do what I love to do; help people. In the middle of my conundrum a friend of mine suggested we do something ‘cool’ and we decided to attend a meditation weekend thinking that might be a fun way to decide which path I wanted to take, I agreed that letting my “inner hippie” out for a run would be kinda fun and that was where it all began.

I went home after that weekend and enrolled in a massage therapy course that ran online, I began studying my way through Aromatherapy and Naturopathy degrees and accidentally found Crystal Healing and then fell into the rabbit hole of Holistic Healing. From there I became increasingly more aware of the amount of chemicals that we were unknowingly being forced to take into our bodies and my days were spent researching natural options and replacements for mass-produced everything.

Bluebell Soap Company was born on a rainy Saturday afternoon back in 1998 when I made my very first batch of cold-processed soap… from there I began making lotions and creams and balms and salves and I knew I had found my passion. I’ve spent nearly 3 decades working in the Hair and Beauty industry and I finally had enough, it’s a harsh world designed to make women feel bad about themselves and leads men to believe that self-care is inherently feminine.

So I now bring to you all of my creations and hope to create an online world where self-care is your main priority male or female and to provide you with the very best Mother Nature has to offer… natural, plant-based skin care that is free from synthetics and chemicals and leaves you feeling beautiful (or handsome) in your own skin.

In a way I guess I chose the career in medicine…
