Our Body Cream
I nearly wasn’t going to make this product due to the high cost of ingredients and I really didn’t think that anybody would want to fork out for what the end product would have to cost in order for me to sell it but, this is the single most decadent body moisturiser formula; I didn’t realise what I was truly creating until I potted up the test batch and headed for the shower the following morning. Its creamy, its deliciously soft, it glides across your skin like butter on a hot crumpet, but it leaves no greasy residue, and it’s absorbed almost immediately leaving your skin with the feeling of the shiny side of a satin sheet. The fragrance holds nicely but the creaminess of the formula gives all the fragrances an almost extra depth that carries through the whole day, it just smells warm despite the scent notes is the best way I can describe it and honestly, I’m not one to ‘big note’ but this is the best thing I’ve created since my daughter.
Key Ingredients
I used a mixture of Mango and Cupuacu butters; mango has a rich content of essential fatty acids, vitamins and antioxidants. It’s a potent moisturiser, deeply hydrating and helps to maintain the skin’s natural moisture barrier. It can help soothe irritated skin (so perfect for after shaving), reduce fine lines and protect against premature aging.
Cupuacu (koo-poo-ah-sue)
Helps prevent the long-term effects of sun exposure like premature aging, wrinkling and other skin damage. This is where cupuacu shines as an amazing anti-aging solution. Due to its high antioxidant value cupuacu works to reduce wrinkles. If you’re looking to do a Cher and turn back time you may have just found The Holy Grail!
Argan Oil;
Once a well-kept secret of Morocco this luxurious oil has gained global recognition for its impressive list of beauty benefits. Few natural ingredients rival the magic of this ‘liquid gold.’ Packed with essential nutrients and antioxidants that can work wonders for your skin. A 2015 study showed that Argan oil may boost collagen production and plump your skin reducing fine lines and wrinkles and after continuous use for 60 days visibly improved the skin’s appearance, firmness and elasticity. Cacay Oil
Aids in repairing damaged skin cells, resulting in a smoother, more even complexion. Its ability to enhance skin cell regeneration also minimises the appearance of scars and dark spots. Cacay oil is also incredibly rich in Vitamin A and well-known as a natural alternative to Retinol (a bio-retinol), unlike actual Retinol however it doesn’t cause photosensitivity meaning it can be easily incorporated into your current routine and used both day and night for brighter, firmer and beautifully hydrated skin.
Prickly Pear Oil.
Sometimes called “Natural Botox” prickly pear seed oil is known for its anti-aging properties. It helps in the fight against wrinkles – it shallows them and makes them less visible. It leaves skin radiant and fresh, with a more even tone. It brightens skin to achieve a healthy, radiant glow. It contains high volumes of Vitamin E (150% more than Argan Oil), soothes inflammation, contains large amounts of linoleic acid, an essential fatty acid proven to lighten sun damage and hyperpigmentation. Boosts cell turnover and stimulates collagen production. Contains rich amounts of Vitamin K which works to even skin tone and reduce hyperpigmentation.
How to Use:
Scoop out a small amount of product (you can always add more if you need later) and smooth over your skin in a circular motion. Gently massage in until fully absorbed and you feel and smell fabulous!
