Magnesium Cream
Magnesium Cream benefits your over-worked and under-paid muscles by facilitating the trasndermal absorption of magnesium, a natural muscle relaxant that helps ease tension, reduce cramps and aid in muscle recovery. When applied topically, it works by regulating nerve signals and controlling muscle contractions which can help to soften tight muscles without the need for oral supplements. It does this by balancing the flow of calcium into the muscle cells. When there is an excess of calcium, muscles can stay contracted and magnesium helps to prevent this allowing muscles to relax. It also helps after physical activity to move blood sugar into muscles and can assist in removing lactic acid which can build up and cause fatigue and soreness.
You can feel this when you come across a ‘muscle knot,’ this is lactic acid, which is a normal byproduct of muscle activity (but considered a waste product because unless it flushes through the muscle fibre it causes soreness) and calcium ions which are essential for muscle contraction can sometimes get interrupted whilst doing their job and can get stuck, for want of a better word, over time these stuck bits cause deposits that contribute to these ‘knots’ causing a “crunchy” sensation when massaged.
Massage and Magnesium are fantastic ways to help move these annoying little knots on so that they stop causing you pain. If your symptoms persist however please see your medical practitioner as stronger medications may be required, dependant upon the severity of your injury.
Key Ingredients
Copaiba Essential Oil
Is a natural analgesic. Whether in aromatherapy or topically applied the oil can help to loosen tight muscles, eliminating pain in joints and even easing the discomfort of headaches. This delightful little oil which is extracted from the resin of copaiba trees that grow up to 100 feet tall in South America may also help with nerve pain due to it’s anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. Some research suggests that copaiba oil may be considered a “turbo-charged” version of CBD Oil, with faster and more effective results as well as no risk of THC and you don’t need to get a medical certificate to use it.
Peppermint Essential Oil
Benefits muscle pain by providing a cooling sensation that numbs pain and by reducing inflammation and muscle spasms due to its menthol content. Peppermint Oil is a bit of an un-sung hero when it comes to aches, pains and muscle pain as it provides natural pain relief, it is an anti-inflammatory, a muscle relaxant and it also boosts circulation with can aid in faster recovery from injury.
Lavender Essential Oil
Helps to reduce inflammation, pain and muscle spasms while also promoting relaxation through its calming scent and potential antispasmodic effects.

This is one my very favourite essential oils. it smells delightful and as my grandmother would say “it’s good for all that ails ya.” Ylang Ylang has such a calming scent that it reduces stress and anxiety, often associated with pain, which helps to create a much more relaxed state in order to manage pain perception. It is also an analgesic an anti-inflammatory, muscle relaxant and helps to aid in the healing process by increasing circulation. It’s a brilliant all-rounder.
